School Diocesan RE Inspection Report

Dear Parents/Carers,

Our school was recently inspected under the requirements of the Education Act 2005, and in accordance with the Diocesan Framework and Schedule for Section 48 Inspections approved by the Bishop of Hallam. The inspection reviews and evaluates how effective the school is in providing Catholic education. This process begins with the school’s own self-evaluation and the inspection schedule follows the criteria set by the National Board of Religious Inspectors and Advisers (NBRIA 2017). The three areas are:

  • The Catholic life of the school
  • RE teaching, learning and assessment
  • Collective worship

This framework is rigorous and challenging and the expectations have been increased. We are therefore delighted to announce that the school was graded as an Outstanding Catholic school. This is testament to the hard work of all staff, governors, parents and, most importantly, our wonderful children. The collaboration with St Wilfrid’s and St Marie’s around RE, Catholic life and collective worship has been really successful. Mr Richardson has played a key role in leading this area and the school is well-positioned to continue to develop and grow. The report reflects the sense of community, trust and ambition we hold together for our children. We have already started to work on the areas for development.

We hope you enjoy reading the reports.

Yours sincerely.

Mr Truby

Mr Colclough
