A summary of the fabulous learning that's been happening in our class this week!

    Year 6 Weekly Update 🌟

It's been another busy and productive week in Year 6!

🔢 Maths: We've been exploring factors, common factors and multiples, developing our mathematical reasoning and using our knowledge to solve problems.

✏️ English: We've drafted our next extended piece of writing and worked together to peer assess our work. We've given each other constructive feedback to help us edit and improve our writing, ready for producing our final versions next week.

✝️ RE: We've been learning about Gregor Mendel, exploring how his work as a scientist and his Christian faith complemented one another. We've considered how faith and science can work together rather than being in conflict.

🏛️ History: We've continued thinking like historians, examining Maya artefacts and using the evidence to develop historically valid questions about this fascinating civilisation.

💻 Science & Computing: We've combined our learning about light with our computing skills, using Google Drawings to create vector diagrams showing how light travels. It was a great opportunity to apply our scientific understanding creatively!

🎭 Assembly Preparations: Finally, we've been busy rehearsing for our Year 6 class assembly next Friday morning! We're working hard to bring everything together and can't wait to share it with you.

Well done, Year 6, for another fantastic week! 🌟
